1. Foot And Calf Massager
Because of their hectic schedule, dance moms often find it difficult to find time to take care of themselves. I am one of those moms!
But I bought one of these Homedics Feet and Calf massagers for my birthday recently and it has been one of the best things for my own self care.
I use it almost every night or whenever I can – if I am reading, watching something on tv – whenever I can get in a 15-minute massage which is how long one program cycle goes for!
It has a carry handle, but because of it’s size and weight – as well as because it needs to be plugged in I usually keep it next to my bed, but I have taken it into other rooms like the lounge whilst watching a movie too!
My foot and calf massager is a HoMedics Ultimate Foot Massager the one I have linked to is the Homedics Therapist Select 2.0 which seems to be an updated version of mine as it has more programs and adjustable tilt. Which ever one you get – your mom will thank you trust me!
2. Neck and Shoulder Massager
I love, love, love my HoMedics neck and shoulder massager. It really should be called a back massager too, because I let it roll down my back and I get a full back massage as well!
This is rechargeable so it doesn’t have to be plugged in – I have taken it in the car with me and used it whilst sitting and waiting for the kids to finish their dance, ballet or other lessons… true story!
I was not able to find the exact version I have online, the closest HoMedics one with the adjustable straps like I have was this HoMedics Talk Controlled Massager which would be a nice touch to my current version.
So you can take a look at the one or search the HoMedics range available on Amazon as I have so far found the brand to be fairly reliable and well made.
3. Skechers Slip On Shoes
I literally cleared some clutter off the floor to take the photos above, because these are the shoes I am wearing right now, and would recommend them to any busy dance parent!
My particular pair are a couple of years old from the smart Go Walk Series (time for a new pair – hope my family is reading this I am a size 9.5 narrow) which has since been updated I think to the Joy Go Walk series. But honestly, any slip-on Skechers will be like walking on a cloud for your mom!
What I love about them is:
- They are comfy
- They are slip-on adnd they easily come off if I need to walk on the dance studio floor for example!
- They come in cute colors
- They are quiet for walking around backstage or outside a dance room exam door
- They look good with jeans, track pants, shorts, skirts…basically with almost anything
- They are lightweight and easy to pack to wear after a night in heels for example!
So find out what size your mom’s feet are and order her a pair like yesterday!!!
